Over the past decades, a major part of building infrastructure has aged and is now in need repair. In order to ease repair backlog be able distinguish between urgent long-term needs, it advisable install monitoring system structure. This is, among others, often based on periodical strain or deformation measurements, as they provide direct indication effect external loads structure (crack opening heavy deformations).
